After 4 and a half years of procrastination, finally..
I took my driving exam today!
I was nervous as hell this morning waiting in line for my turn to do the first part of the exam.
I only became nervous when I saw the people before me failing part 1 of the exam.
Part 1: Slope, parking and three-point turn test.
Part 2: Road test.
An hour ago I was at home busy chatting with my Mom while making egg sandwiches for Ian’s breakfast.
He was so kind to stay with me throughout the entire exam.
Thank you (: I know you were bored to death!!
On top of being nervous, naturally I’m very a little blur too.
I got into the Kancil, put on my seat belt, set my gear to 1st gear and started driving.
The car was shaking, and I mean shakingggggg!!
I stopped it and started to look around to see what was causing the weird movements.
Then there was a kind uncle standing outside frantically mouthing,
“Girl, hand brake! Put the hand brake down!!!”.
I totally forgot about the hand brake
There I was thinking to myself…
DIE LA, how to pass la like this?!?
But I managed to do the slope test!!
Perfectly, if I may add! hehehe
Next was the parking test.
For some unknown reason (ok maybe I’m just lousy at it), I just couldn’t get the gear stick to reverse gear.
Thankfully, the tester was so kind to be patient with me when he saw me struggling!
I managed to park too!!
But it was definitely a close call!
Lastly, I managed to do the three-point turn without any problems!!
YAYYYY!! I passed the first part of the exam!!
Next was the road test.
I wasn’t so nervous anymore, maybe because I gained some confidence after passing part 1?!
I’d say it went well too and something funny happened that made my tester and I burst out laughing!!
God knows how it happened but as I was trying to balance my car at mini slope, suddenly, cold water squirted out from the dashboard and straight on my tester!
It was hilarious because the both of us let out a shriek at the same time!
After the both of us finish laughing, I panicked a little thinking, “Shit, is he angry?? Is he going to fail me??”
But he was kind, he didn’t.
I continued with my exam route and the next thing I knew, I was back already at the driving centre collecting my results.
I passed the entire exam!! (:
It was a nerve wreaking experience but I’m already done with it!!
Now, I am officially a P driver!!
*two pats on my back*
